Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern use of the service operated by Jared Browne. You must be at least 13 years old and able to agree to these Terms. By creating an account, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy and agree to these Terms.

Account responsibilities

Provide an email address you control, keep credentials secure, and do not share accounts or use the service to access another person's data. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

IMDb, Steam, and third-party services

Rapid Rater is independent from IMDb, TMDB, JustWatch, Letterboxd, Valve, Steam, and connected AI providers. Rapid Rater is not endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Valve or Steam. IMDb write-back uses an unsupported website interface that may change, be rate limited, or be unavailable. Use integrations only with accounts and content you are authorized to access.

When you choose to connect or rescan Steam, Steam authenticates your account and Rapid Rater requests the profile and library data needed for that feature. Rapid Rater never asks for, receives, or stores your Steam password. Steam may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue its API or data.

Steam data warranty and liability

You receive the Steam Web API, Steam Data, and Valve brand materials on an “as is,” “with all faults,” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valve, Steam game publishers and developers, and their suppliers make no warranties or conditions about quality, performance, accuracy, title, non-infringement, fitness for a purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free access.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valve and its suppliers are not liable for damages arising from the Steam Web API, Steam Data, or Valve brand materials, including indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages, regardless of the legal theory. Your exclusive remedy for a dispute with Valve or its suppliers about those materials is to stop using the Steam integration. The Steam Web API Terms also apply.

Acceptable use

Do not harass others, impersonate people, upload unlawful or infringing material, probe or disrupt the service, automate abusive requests, evade access controls, or use the service unlawfully. The Community Guidelines are part of these Terms.

Content and termination

You retain rights in profile content you provide and grant the service permission to host and display it as directed by your privacy settings. Accounts or content may be restricted or removed to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

Service availability and liability

The service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Jared Browne is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of third-party integrations or service interruptions.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Washington USA, without overriding consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
